Beaufort London‘s London identity is evident in every detail of its fragrances. Leo Crabtree, creator of the brand, this time finds inspiration in the work “Rake’s Progress” by William Hogarth, a London-based satirical engraving writer.

The protagonist of Rake ‘Progress, Tom Rakewell, is brought to complete ruin by leading a luxurious life of disorder, prostitutes and gambling.

Rake & Ruin is the olfactory representation of a wild night in a tavern where rivers of gin flow, thinking of times past and where moral decadence begins.

Beaufort Spirit, Beaufort London‘s “sister” company, produces a London gin created with botanical ingredients, as does Rake & Ruin for a perfect connection between taste and smell.

Top notes: Geneva, juniper, coriander, angelica, orange, lemon, iris, liquorice, Sichuan pepper, Rose pepper, cypress, pine needles.

Heart and basenotes: Violet, castoreum, costus, ambrarome, labdanum, amber, smoky musk, sandalwood, dry woods.
