Inspired by the innovative use of materials that enabled 18th century watchmakers to build the first precision marine chronometers, Lignum Vitae combines elements of wood, metal and salt to produce a truly unique and portable fragrance.

The perfume was designed both as a symbolic representation of the intricate workings of Harrison’s time machines, but also as a suggestion of the power of scent to transport us though time.

Perfumer Julie Marlowe was tasked with combining these enigmatic aspects in an unexpected and intriguing way.

Top notes: black pepper, red fruits, sponge cake, marine notes, tangerine, cider, bergamot, Virginia juniper, ginger, lime, olibanum incense, caramel.

Heart notes: Gaiac wood, vetiver, pepper and oud wood.

Base notes: sand, sea salt, amber, oliban incense, musk, vanilla, oak moss.
