Etat Libre d' Orange - Like This Eau de Parfum

I blind bought this perfume after seeing it compared to a 'kitchen witch' aesthetic and then reading up on the interesting notes. Also, the Tilda Swinton connection swayed me, she's just lovely.
Most reviews talked about smelling herbs and pumpkin, the colour orange. A feeling of comfort.
Well, I don't get Orange or Pumpkin at all.. But I get Comfort by the bucketload!
"Like This" somehow evokes comforting memories for me.
The first day I wore it, the scent took me right back to many years ago, bathing my little baby; Johnsons dreamy bodywash complete with warm water.
The second time I wore it, I was taken back to the late 90's, the feeling of excitement at finding my way in the world, dark clothing, an awesome alternative music soundtrack, clove cigarettes, all combined with my small cloud of Cacharel LouLou.
The third time I wore it, I was taken back to childhood, sitting in the car, on the way to the big shops with my nanna, scent of her perfume (Vanderbilt) mixed with a little Impulse Musk and a slight smokiness from the car interior. This time hit my heart, the moment was so complete.
Every time, something different, always a comforting past memory.
Always purple too.
The ability of this scent to affect me the way it continues to do so is astonishing. I've ordered another bottle because I never want to be without it.
Your mileage may vary for this particular fragrance but I truly believe there is something special out there for everyone, one that will push your buttons just right. This is mine.
